The California State Capitol Museum is a "working museum," where visitors can view rich resources exploring the history of the state's legislature, while being exposed to the modern process of lawmaking. The Museum is located inside Capitol Park, which is laden with monuments, native plants, roses, and a Camellia Grove. This institution features two premier exhibits: one dedicated to the San Francisco Earthquake of 1906, and the other highlighting 17 of California's most outstanding females, such as Amelia Earheart, and Dolores Huerta.
