Rotating its primary exhibit every six months, the Discovery Museum Science & Space Center presents visitors with a dynamic, hands-on way to understand the world and the universe. The Nature Discovery Room allows children to see live animals and preserved specimens, and during the summer, special wildlife presentations add even more to the experience. Most weekends at the museum see special crafts and projects available for families to work on, and the planetarium provides additional weekend entertainment. The Sacramento museum sits near Del Paso Park and is only a few miles south of McClellan's Aerospace Museum of California.
Open Sep - Jun: Tue. - Fri. noon - 5:00 p.m.; Sat. - Sun. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Jul - Aug: daily 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $5; Seniors (60+) and Youth (13-17) $4; Children (4-12) $3; Children under 4 are free.
