Set within the 19th century B.F. Hastings Building, the Wells Fargo History Museum tracks the history of the financial institution and its role in the gold rush days. Displays in the building show how the bank helped keep the area financially stable and even aided in the workings of the Pony Express and regional government. The museum is part of Old Sacramento, a preserved historic district featuring a gold rush-era architectural style, museums, boutique shops and restaurants.
